A fire near Fort Dunlop prompted evacuations, with smoke seen rising from the scene as firefighters responded quickly to the incident
Erdington: So, there was a fire near Fort Dunlop today, and it got a bit hectic. People spotted thick black smoke billowing up into the sky, and it looked pretty alarming.
Firefighters were on the scene in no time, arriving just five minutes after they got the call. They sent several crews to tackle the blaze, which started around 1:30 PM.
As a safety measure, they evacuated nine people from the area. Thankfully, it seems like no one got hurt. The fire was mostly contained to an extractor unit on a factory roof.
One person even shared a video on social media, showing the smoke rising near the office building. It’s always a bit scary when things like this happen, but the fire service acted fast.
They used hoses to put out the flames, and it looks like they managed to keep it from spreading. Just another day in the life, I guess, but it’s good to know everyone is okay!
